氣候專家馬奎斯（Mário Marques）說明，這類雲層在葡萄牙其實不常見，較常出現在澳洲北部等地區，「這是個快速且短暫的過程，雲層形狀很容易讓沒看過的人感到害怕，但實際上這只是一朵美麗的雲。」
